Cikgu... =P

I am getting myself ready to study for the Molecular Genetics test which is on next Tuesday. Sigh, yesterday I spent the whole afternoon just to read the part of DNA Replication from the Snustad and Simmons book. And now I still have 4 more parts to go.. Alamak.. time is running real short.. Eeww..
This morning I went for this gila-gila seminar on the Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan in the Edu fac auditorium.. Well, what shall I say? As a future teacher(ahem, how sure am I? But, nvm.), and since the lecturer 'invited' us to go.. so I went la. There's nothing special about the seminar. Speakers came up to talk about this Pelan Induk thingy, add a bit of lame jokes here and there which I can't really get their jokes. Maybe because I was there scratching my head - some the stuff they talked about weren't making much sense to me. And the jokes -- not funny at all. Isshh.. Well, whatever it is, in my humble opinion, this seminar is just another plain talk, another session of people giving all sorts of ideas, throwing out all sorts of thoughts, suggestions.. Yeah, those suggestions will be taken down and added into some kertas kerja and the kertas kerja will be submitted to MOE.. Hmm, I wonder what is the fate of that kertas kerja. Well, over the years.. we have learned some stuff about our country, our government, about how they do certain things.
One of the speaker pointed out the one thing that stuck on my mind ~ there's nothing new in the Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan. We are just repeating the things found in the previous reports -- talking about unity, sekolah kebangsaan, Bahasa Melayu... yada yada..
Well oh well..
I was thinking, how la to bring forth changes in the country? What are we doing for our country?
Last night during cell time, we shared about mission, evangelism etc etc. And I was again reminded the reason of why I put in science with education in the UPU thingy. Well, I believe that teachers are in a position of influence, to be a channel of blessings to the students in the school -- in the classes you teach, in the clubs and societies you are in charge of. A teacher's life is a living testimony to the kids in the classes. I am saying this because I myself experienced it.. My teachers have been a tremendous blessing to me -- one led my to Christ, with another 3 guiding me and leading me as I journeyed with God thru'out my Form 6 life and even till now.
ANd all the glory goes to God! It's Him who bring different peoples into my life, inspiring me to live my life in a manner worthy of Him.
Well, my God and this story of mine is what I am holding on to as I walk this path -- Teaching...
