I have been thinking about some stuff .. since the day(last friday evening la) I set my foot on this place called Ipoh. A place I called HOME. Well, I have kinda used to those feelings.

Currently reading Eugene Peterson's The Journey. And I came across this part which goes like this...

What a week!

Yo.. I must blog gau-gau before I go back to Ipoh! Isssh, no internet connection back home la, sigh. =(

Okies, there goes the first half of my 2nd sem as a 2nd year student.

Last night was fun, really fun! Someone came to visit us in MC, spending a night in our cekap room. Ya, *jeng jeng jeng jeng* she is Queen Adelene ! =p

This picture was taken after the choir competition during Festival Seni. Lawa betul! (I'm talking about the one wearing Legacy Live t-shirt, bleh..) OK la, that night she is pretty la although she's kinda stressed during the competition. Haha, those who were there would know how stressed she was.

Well, anyway, I really mean it when I say 'Queen Adelene'.. "Hail Queen Adelene....!" Haha.. neh, this time she didn't drink nescafe using my stainless steel bowl like last year(wow, time really flies, last year she was in my B116 back in 4th college). We had nescafe, we had Anlene milk.. Oh ya, we had McD large set of Quarter Pounder(feel like eating it now) for dinner to kind of celebrate la for CNY, for holiday, for being able to answer the questions in Basic Genetics and Molecular Genetics tests yesterday... Yes! Thank God!

Ya, by the way, our last lab for Basic Genetics was funny la. The most cekap thing which I learned throughout the 7 weeks of lab work is --- to differentiate between the male and female fruitflies *sweat* Oh, we oso learned la how to count the kernels... darn corns... We had to count how many kernels are of this colour, how may are of that colour.. stupid darn white and yellow coloured kernels are almost the SAME! And one of my friend, after finished counting, the number of kernels she counted was double of what other people counted for that particular corn.. Well, later only she found out that she actually went round the corn twice. *super sweat*

And during the last lab, I accidentally tertumpah the bottle of spirit containing all the dead flies.. Well, thank God for lab coat! So, most of the flies were on the floor. To get rid of the evidence - I just squashed them all under my feet.. Wiped away the spirit on the bench.. put back the lid to the bottle, pretend that nothing happened. And that Queen was there laughing.. Hahaha.. I know I am terrible la.. but it is just a small matter la. At least the bottle didn't fall on the floor.
Well, I m still waiting for Queen Adelene for the pictures of those fruitflies..

Alright, back to last night in my room.. We took some canggih-manggih pictures using her digicam la. We didn't really get to cam-whore coz' the battery is running low and it is always running low, nvm. Somemore she was busy la ~ Haih, what to do -- she had to finish her stupid Komputer untuk Pendidikan punya assignment.

The most cekap fake name - Ms. MOOLOO ONG. Hahaha.. I am still laughing as I am typing this.. ~Gosh, simply la you! I told you that I am gonna blog about this.~ There are more funny funny names to come.. wait..

1. Kalaisoo must be a ChinDian, his surname is Soo.
2. Boo Too Foo is a Chinese, no doubt. Maybe his parents like 'Yong Tau Foo'. So in remembrance of their first date when they had Ampang Yong Tau Foo, they named their first son as Boo Too Foo.
3. Tan Lee Koop. Chinese. Er, this one is still ok la.
4. Mangai Bala. Indian. This one is still ok.
5. Mooloo Ong. She could be a mix la. Mooloo may be some south african name. Either her dad or mum is a Chinese with surname Ong.

From all the names huh, I think Queen Adelene's favourite alphabet is 'O' coz 75% of the names she used has 'O', somemore is Double O...

Haha..

I am amazed with those names, super creative names huh.. =p

YUpz.. that's the funny part about last night.

And, yo, ReaLNut, thanx for everything! If you hadn't called me that night, most probably I will still be dwelling on those thoughts. Thanx for helping me to see things in a bigger picture.

I am not in the mood to study although there will be 3-4 tests next week before I go back to Ipoh for the mid sem break. I was supposed to go for my church cell PD trip this weekend but cannot go la.. coz of all these crazy tests, lab reports.. der.. but nvm.. There's always next time.

Well well.... some thoughts..

In the midst of busyness(not really though), did I ever stop and listen to what my heart is telling me? Or am I so caught up with different situations that I failed to see that God is in control? Or am I doing things according to my understanding, my knowledge, my strength? These are the questions that are playing on my mind now.

Lord, Your word says 'Ears to hear and eyes to see -- both are gifts from the LORD'. But I guess I have forgotten what is the art of listening... what does it mean to really listen.. I guess I have failed to see from my heart.. to really see and understand what is happening...

What was on my mind?

A lot of things were on my mind.. causing me to have pretty bad short term memory lately. Alamak.. What to do?

Last night we had our first dance practice for the Easter Celebration. Well, I am dancing again.. but this time itz not hip hop dance. Hmm, I guess it'z a challenge to me. And there's a lot of new things for me to learn. =)

I watched a movie after that, together with the friends from CM. It was a good one..

"Why does life have to be full of tears? How to put up a smiley face in the midst of pain, sorrow...?"

"God is always walking beside you. He is the One who strengthens you as you go thru all the ups and downs. You don't need to do anything to prove your worth, to earn people's love, to earn people's approval. God loves you and He sees you as His precious child."

This is part of the conversation on the phone between a counsellor and a social worker. The social worker was contemplating suicide, at the edge of jumping down from a building. As a social worker, she has been helping people, handling different cases. She does all her tasks by her own strength, taking up more and more responsibility ...and finally.. falls into depression.

The counsellor -- what I learned from this character ~ Listen to God, listen to yourself(how you are responding to situations), and listen to the people around you. When we attune our ears to listen to God, He will show us how to help the people around us. For He will speak to us and speak thru' us.

Prior to this, I have been thinking and asking God what is the MOST practical way to help to improve the situations which I saw happening...

"PRAY."

"O Lord, yeah right~~~~! *kinda sarcastically* I want some 'active' ways which I can do to help them. Argh..."

After the movie, it hit me again...

"PRAY. And make time to listen to what I want to speak to you thru' the situations."
At this point of time, still I want to argue with God huh? Neh... no la.

Really.. there is this one thing in the picture of tea plantation that ties me back to the sweet memories I had when I was in CH. Although I am from Ipoh, but I have only been to CH twice. Camp Cam was my first visit to CH and T.H.E. Camp was my second time to CH. Hehehe..

Cikgu... =P

I am getting myself ready to study for the Molecular Genetics test which is on next Tuesday. Sigh, yesterday I spent the whole afternoon just to read the part of DNA Replication from the Snustad and Simmons book. And now I still have 4 more parts to go.. Alamak.. time is running real short.. Eeww..
This morning I went for this gila-gila seminar on the Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan in the Edu fac auditorium.. Well, what shall I say? As a future teacher(ahem, how sure am I? But, nvm.), and since the lecturer 'invited' us to go.. so I went la. There's nothing special about the seminar. Speakers came up to talk about this Pelan Induk thingy, add a bit of lame jokes here and there which I can't really get their jokes. Maybe because I was there scratching my head - some the stuff they talked about weren't making much sense to me. And the jokes -- not funny at all. Isshh.. Well, whatever it is, in my humble opinion, this seminar is just another plain talk, another session of people giving all sorts of ideas, throwing out all sorts of thoughts, suggestions.. Yeah, those suggestions will be taken down and added into some kertas kerja and the kertas kerja will be submitted to MOE.. Hmm, I wonder what is the fate of that kertas kerja. Well, over the years.. we have learned some stuff about our country, our government, about how they do certain things.
One of the speaker pointed out the one thing that stuck on my mind ~ there's nothing new in the Pelan Induk Pembangunan Pendidikan. We are just repeating the things found in the previous reports -- talking about unity, sekolah kebangsaan, Bahasa Melayu... yada yada..
Well oh well..
I was thinking, how la to bring forth changes in the country? What are we doing for our country?
Last night during cell time, we shared about mission, evangelism etc etc. And I was again reminded the reason of why I put in science with education in the UPU thingy. Well, I believe that teachers are in a position of influence, to be a channel of blessings to the students in the school -- in the classes you teach, in the clubs and societies you are in charge of. A teacher's life is a living testimony to the kids in the classes. I am saying this because I myself experienced it.. My teachers have been a tremendous blessing to me -- one led my to Christ, with another 3 guiding me and leading me as I journeyed with God thru'out my Form 6 life and even till now.
ANd all the glory goes to God! It's Him who bring different peoples into my life, inspiring me to live my life in a manner worthy of Him.
Well, my God and this story of mine is what I am holding on to as I walk this path -- Teaching...

Microbiology Auntie and Paris Hilton

Well, I am taking General Microbiology this semester.

I don't want to say this.. *O God, I'm sorry..* but I can hardly help myself.. I need to let it out before sth worse happens.. *tsk tsk tsk*

That plum-specky-round eyes-round nose-thick lips-tudung-microbiology auntie s**ks man! What a grumpy pot she is..!! She is just one kind la.. She easily gets bengang and starts mumbling, grumbling, complaining to her books la, papers la, computer in the lecture hall la.. Oh, poor books, papers and computer, I know you guys suffer la.. so does everyone in the lecture hall. She is loud and the way she talks ar.. gosh.. I really felt like taking off my stinking shoe and throw it at her face.. Or go and puncture her car tyres -- puncture 2 of them is enough liao(eh, Jiahui, wake up la u!). Neh.. that fella just annoys me so much that I want to blog about her on my pinky blog. Listening to her is the most annoying thing I can ever have for the whole semester(and probably the whole year too!). Argh.. She always talks all kinds of nonsense la.. I don't bother to remember.. EEeeww.. but I am bother enough to blog about it.. argh, susahnya. I seriously don't like her.. Argh.. Auntie!

EEeew...

Anyway.. nvm, I shall persevere for another few more weeks.. then hopefully I wont see her again in other courses.

Let's switch the mood from complaining to gila-ing...

What lies ahead in 2007? What is waiting for me in 2007? Dark clouds? Strong wind? Rough seas?

"Exit well.. and enter well.." This is the thing that really spoke to me..

"Leaving behind those baggages, whatever that weighs me down".. This is sth I want to do..

"Let go, and let God work".. It's my prayer.

Yellow colour represents hope. Is there hope?

Someone told me that it's ok to grieve. Letting go of something you once tightly held is always the toughest thing to do. And it's also the last thing you would want to do.
